I noticed a beautiful, flowering tree out near the edge of our yard was not doing so good about 3 years ago. My wife loved that tree, and a neighbor had one just like ours across the street that looked great. It was healthy and had so many blooms on it every spring and summer, while ours had very few. I was not really sure what I should do about it until the neighbor said that it was important that I look into tree pruning in Queens NY as soon as possible. The reason, he said, was that if I did not get help for my tree soon, it would die.
What my neighbor said seemed a bit like overkill. I had a feeling that if I just watered it more and gave it some one-time fertilized, it would probably perk right up. I could not have been more wrong. As the years passed, the tree began looking worse. The blooms all but disappeared each blooming season. My wife was frustrated by that point.
I had to be honest with my wife and told her that the neighbor had told me exactly what I needed to do to fix the problem, but I had brushed the information off. She immediately took matters into her own hands and made some calls to find out what could be done to help the tree. That same day, a nice employee from a local tree company came over to take a look. He said that we should have begun pruning the tree as soon as we saw that it was having problems years ago. He was not sure if he could save the tree because I let it go on for so long, but he said he was willing to try. He did, and a year later, it’s time for the tree to flower again and it looks great.
